Interior Design Assistant

*Job Title: Interior Design Assistant* *Overview:* We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to join our team.
The Interior Design Assistant will collaborate with our senior designers to assist in all aspects of interior design projects.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about interior design to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the creation of innovative and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
*Responsibilities:* * *Support Senior Designers:* Collaborate closely with senior designers to assist in all phases of interior design projects, from concept development to project completion.
* *Research and Sourcing:* Conduct research on materials, furnishings, and accessories.
Assist in sourcing and procuring items needed for projects, including furniture, fabrics, lighting fixtures, and decorative elements.
* *Space Planning:* Assist in space planning and layout design, including creating floor plans and 3D renderings using design software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp.
* *Material and Finish Selection:* Assist in selecting materials, finishes, and color palettes for interior spaces.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain samples and pricing information.
* *Client Communication:* Communicate with clients to gather project requirements, preferences, and feedback.
Assist in preparing presentations and design proposals for client review.
* *Project Coordination:* Support project coordination efforts, including scheduling meetings, site visits, and installations.
Assist in maintaining project timelines and budgets.
* *Documentation:* Assist in preparing documentation such as design drawings, specifications, and purchasing orders.
Organize and maintain project files and records.
* *Assist with Installations:* Assist in coordinating and overseeing installations, ensuring that design plans are implemented accurately and according to specifications.
* *Stay Updated:* Stay current with industry trends, products, and technologies related to interior design.
Attend workshops, seminars, and trade shows as needed.
*Qualifications:* * *Education:* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
* *Experience:* Prior experience in interior design or a related field is desirable.
Recent graduates or individuals with internship experience are encouraged to apply.
* *Design Skills:* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is preferred.
Knowledge of other design tools and software is a plus.
* *Creativity:* Strong creative and conceptual skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
* *Communication:* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to team members and clients.
* *Organization:* Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* *Team Player:* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
