Job Description and Requirements
The Financial Literacy Specialist will seek opportunities and venues for promoting RBFCU's financial education classes.
This individual will schedule and conduct financial education sessions as requested by the community, establishing partnerships with organizations who can benefit from the programs and curriculum offered.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Promote financial education awareness within the community assigned
Execute financial education lesson plans for audiences of all ages and deliver curriculum to members, potential members in our fields of membership, and employees through a high-energy, enthusiastic, motivational style
Stay up-to-date with information regarding financial education resources and standard industry practices and keep current with changes in the credit union products and services
Attend meetings and seminars as required to learn and implement effective outreach methods and act as the financial education liaison between the credit union and selected groups, schools, and other business contacts to coordinate presentations within the community
Conduct daily travel within the community is standard as well as occasional out of town travel since this position is primarily responsible for several regions
Provide feedback from classes to the Senior Financial Literacy Specialist for continual adjustments to the core curriculum
Assist the credit union with special events and community events as needed

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
Minimum of one year previous job related work experience
Financial Institution and/or education experience
Knowledge of Microsoft applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid Driver’s License
