Douglass Diversity Undergraduate Internship
The McNay offers a paid internship in Museum Education for an undergraduate student in the San Antonio Area for the spring of 2024.
Designed for San Antonio college students from underrepresented communities, this internship offers an insider experience of working with an education team and contributing to the McNay’s mission of engaging a diverse community in the discovery and enjoyment of the visual arts.
Internship Experience
Attendance at McNay staff and Education department meetings.
Supporting Education programs including College Night, Teen Night, and exhibition programs.
Attend Virtual and in-person programs, provide support, and assist with evaluation & debrief.
Join and contribute to staff communication channels.
Internship Requirement
Undergraduate student rising into sophomore, junior, or senior year.
Attend college in San Antonio area.
Academic emphasis or coursework in art, art history, art education, museum education, community leadership, or related areas of study.
20 hours a week for a 10-month period.
The rate of pay is $17.
50 per hour for 20 hours a week.
