Great Hearts is a growing, multi-state network of 45 public, open-enrollment charter schools, committed to provide a high-quality, classical liberal arts education to 25,000 K-12 students in Arizona, Louisiana, and Texas.
*Drama at Great Hearts Academies* is taught primarily through production, with each semester course culminating in one or two fully staged productions.
The 11th Grade Drama course introduces students to the elements of stage production through the staging of a Shakespearean play.
Students will grow in confidence on stage and will understand the creative and technical aspects of theatre.
*Qualifications* Applicants will ideally have a B.

A.
or M.
F.
A.
in theatre, drama, acting, directing or theatrical design, and have experience teaching or directing young people.
Professional acting, producing, or directing experience is also of significant value.
Certification is not required.
*Experience*: Professional acting, producing, or directing: 1 year (Preferred)
*Education*: Bachelor's (Required)
Certification is not required to teach at any of the Great Hearts Academies.
Great Hearts teachers hold a bachelor's degree or higher, demonstrate both a love for the breadth of the liberal arts, and a depth of knowledge in the subject area(s) they teach.
All candidates must be able to demonstrate they are qualified to teach the subjects they are assigned.
