We are excited about what San Antonio Aerospace has to offer you as an employee and think that you will enjoy your newfound home! SUMMARY: Responsible for Conducting Classes as Needed for Employees that have expired, are new hires, or as Customer Required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop Curricula and instruct aircraft courses to VT San Antonio Aerospace mechanics.
Have the necessary experience and skills to develop the course material and teach at least three (3) of the following aircraft familiarization classes: A300, A310, B707, B727, B737, B747, B757, B767, DC-8, DC9/MD80, DC-10, MD-11, L1011.
Develop and teach apprenticeship-level structures field training (SFT) programs for AMT trainees, Interiors, Aircraft Conditions, and others as required.
Evaluate existing lesson plans for accuracy and pertinence to the trades as needed.
Write and validate all testing materials including written tests and performance tests pertaining to courses taught.
Issue completion certificates to personnel completing courses taught.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED required.
FAA Airframe Certificate required.
EXPERIENCE: One Year of teaching experience, either military or civilian.
Being able to perform at the Level III APG or Structures Mechanic Level is a plus.
Five years of heavy aircraft experience including airframe and structures.
Supervisory experience is highly valued.
Instructional development experience preferred.
