Tenure Track or Tenure eligible Faculty Position at the School of Dentistry, University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
Applications are invited for a full-time tenure track/tenured faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
Areas of interest for the School and for the position include NIH funded individuals investigating molecular and/or cellular aspects of oral biology/dental research, oral pain, and other aspects of oral pathogenesis.
Applicants must have a Ph.
D, or DDS/Ph.
D.
degree in oral biology or related biomedical sciences, strong publication record, an independent research program in the area that complements the focus of the School.
Preference will be given to individuals that have successfully received extramural funding.
The candidate will also be expected to actively collaborate with other faculty members and interact with staff and students across campus.
He/she will contribute to the mission of the School, will participate in teaching, clinical practice if applicable, and function as an active member of the School of Dentistry and The University of Texas Health Science Center.
The successful candidate will enjoy access to several Centers, including Mays Cancer Center, Barshop Institute and others along with modern animal facility, Flow cytometry and cell sorter facility, genomics/bioinformatics, light, electron and confocal fluorescence microscopy facility, and proteomics/mass spectrometry, Drug development and other state of the art core facilities.
