UT Health San Antonio, School of Dentistry is looking for a caring, driven, and confident dentist to join our team, preferably with a geriatric dentistry background.
The selected person will be an on-site provider of dental services for elderly in nursing homes.
Our model comprises of providing comprehensive oral health services using state-of-the art and ergonomic equipment, to improve the oral health of nursing home residents.
• DDS/DMD degree from CODA-accredited dental school or international equivalent.
Completion of an accredited advanced training program and/or certificate (AEGD, GPR)/ Geriatric Dentistry/ Prosthodontics Residency training preferred but not required.
• Current Texas State Dental License or be eligible for one.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification, ACLS, (Nitrous certification preferred)
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient experience with Electronic Health Record systems, digital imaging, and CAD/CAM technology.
• Comprehensive knowledge of primary dental care, CDT coding and standard documentation guidelines.
Candidate must have a track record showing commitment to serve diverse population groups and leading vision for the future of dental public health, dentistry, and patient care.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
An ideal candidate will have adaptable mindset to work in assisted living, nursing homes, and other types of non-traditional environments.
He/She should be compassionate and interested in serving seniors and be interested in providing wide ranges of solutions to meet the patient's needs.
