Position Summary The Registrar is responsible for managing the student information system and oversees aspects of registration of students, student records, scheduling processes and the production of grade reports at St.
Anthony Catholic High School (SACHS), a division of the University of the Incarnate Word.
The Registrar reports to the Principal.
This position is considered a “Responsible Employee” under Title IX federal regulations and “Mandatory Reporter” under Texas state law and the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.
As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about violating Title IX.
These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.

Job Duties Job Duty Name Essential Duties Description of Job Duties Accurately and in a timely manner, enters pertinent data that relates to the schools’ daily operations in software system; Assists with data entry activities associated with student records, enrollment, historical data research, and testing; Maintains appropriate confidentiality concerning student records; Assembles, inputs and updates all new and transfer student data into the computer; Maintains manual records of student entries, exits, and grade level changes on a daily basis; Maintains information on student special program entry/exit dates; Enters into computer student enrollment count on a weekly basis; Enters demographic information on all new students into the computer and updates withdrawals as required; Administers data processing registration and scheduling of students in the computer; Researches, verifies, corrects, posts and maintains student attendance files on a daily basis; Researches and verifies address of all returned mail; Collects, verifies and inputs data; Researches and corrects all data error listings; Trains and provides instructions to teachers and staff relating to grade reporting, daily attendance posting, classroom inventory system, and areas of student data; Coordinates, examines, corrects, inputs and distributes data processing student grade records and reports; Coordinates campus data entry functions with campus faculty and administrators to ensure all deadlines are met; Coordinates with other schools relative to student transfers in the computer and forwarding student cumulative folders; Inputs summer school registration information into computer; Inputs immunization records when Nurse is not on duty; Prepares information requested by Administration; Maintains daily attendance summary report; Informs assistant principal of excessive absences, tardies, and truancies of students; Verifies identification of adults requesting to take students from school early; Maintains currency and compliance with all state and school policies and regulations concerning job functions; Completes School Attendance Verification forms for the Texas Department of Human Services; Attends all required workshops; Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities Excellent computer skills; Excellent organization skills; Ability to work efficiently in an environment with frequent interruptions; Knowledge of graduation requirements; Strong public relations skills; Proficiency in Microsoft, Word, Excel, database management; Skilled in appropriate telephone etiquette; Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing; Ability to follow and successfully complete both written and verbal instructions; Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Required Education Bachelors Degree in Business, Communications, or related field.
Required Work Experience Two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications Ability to speak Spanish.
Experience using Renweb.
Experience as a high school registrar.
Experience managing a student information system database.
Experience creating a high school master schedule.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations None specified.
Work Hours Mon to Fri 7:30 am-4:00 pm (see faculty handbook).
Some night and weekend work dependent on student activity sponsorship and special events such as Open House.
