Position Summary
The Student Assistant for the Registrar’s Office will support staff within the Registrar’s Office in maintaining student files.
This position is funded by the Federal Work-Study program and is open to UIW students who are approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program.
Essential Functions
-Sanitize office equipment daily;
-Inter-campus deliveries;
-General clerical duties, including, but not limited to photocopying, mailing, filing, and scanning; and data entry;
-Process incoming mail that involves identifying, scanning, and data entry into logs;
-Assist other personnel in the department with various duties as assigned;
-Assistance at the front counter;
-Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Secretary to the Registrar or other Registrar Team member.
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student information and files;
- Adhere to assigned work schedule, UIW workplace guidelines, and casual dress;
-Ability to maintain communication with supervisor on a daily basis.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office with Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Teams;
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or with a team;
-Knowledge of the UIW campus and its locations;
-Knowledge of office protocols, equipment, and programs;
-Ability to adhere to work schedules and maintain good time management;
-Ability to maintain a professional work ethic in the office;
-Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures;
-Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA
Required Education
Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program
Required Work Experience
Experience using Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
-Prior clerical experience which included typing and/or data entry.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Work Hours
- General availability during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
- May work up to 20 hours per week.
- Work schedule to be determined, based on student schedule.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
