Position Title Student Assistant for Testing Services

Position Summary
University Testing Services (UTS) is a branch of the Student Success Division, and it is committed to providing excellent service to students and faculty in accordance with the Mission of the University.
The Staff Assistant provides support to the Coordinator of Testing and Testing Specialist in the daily operations of the Testing Center.
Serves as the first line of contact with students and faculty.
Administers faculty make-up examinations, and national computer-based exams such as CLEP, THEA, and ATI TEAS.
Assists during testing sessions and supervises daily exams as required.
Monitors integrity of the testing process through security cameras.
Assists Coordinator and Specialist in creating reports.
Serves as an information source for students and faculty.
This is a student position open to current UIW students.
Essential Functions
1.
Interaction with students, faculty, and administrators in a professional manner.
2.
Assist with reception duties as necessary.
3.
Facilitate the administration of faculty make-up exams.
4.
Set up CLEP server and testing stations as needed.
5.
Proctor computer-based exams.
6.
Enter data into testing spreadsheets, as required.
8.
Assist with the creation of reports.
9.
Ensure the security of make-up exams by following established procedures.
10.
Monitor exam takers.
11.
Maintain confidentiality of student testing records.
12.
Comply with University Testing Services policies and procedures.
13.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in standard computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet browser).
Extreme attention to detail.
Understanding of the importance of confidentiality with student records.
Familiarity with University’s student support services and departments.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
Current UIW graduate or undergraduate student.
Required Work Experience
Previous experience in customer service or a related field preferred.

Work Hours
-Ability to work at least 15 hours per week.
-General availability during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
