Duties: - Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the curriculum.
- Teach mathematics to students using a variety of instructional strategies and techniques.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instruction and facilitate student learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and align curriculum across grade levels.
- Dissect complex mathematical concepts into manageable parts to facilitate student understanding.
- Provide individualized support and mentoring to students who require additional assistance.
- Incorporate real-world applications of mathematics to make learning relevant and meaningful for students.
- Collaborate with special education teachers to modify instruction for students with diverse learning needs.
Skills: - Strong knowledge of mathematics, including algebra, trigonometry, and calculus.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex mathematical concepts to students of varying abilities.
- Proficient in the use of learning technology and educational software.
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with special education needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a professional learning community.
- Knowledge of education administration and research in the field of mathematics education.
- Experience conducting laboratory experiments related to mathematics or biochemistry (preferred but not required).
This position requires a bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field.
A teaching certification is also required.
Previous experience as a mathematics teacher is preferred, but not required.
