Description:
As an early childhood professional, each teacher is expected to contribute to a working environment that is friendly, respectful, open and honest.
The teacher is accountable for knowing state licensing requirements, being familiar with Texas Rising Star (TSR) Program Standards.
Responsibilities of this position will include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
* Plan and engage children in developmentally appropriate activities
* Establish and follow daily schedule that incorporates child directed activity, whole group, small group, care routines and transition times;
* Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children;
* Plan and prepare materials before activities;
* Encourage children's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem solving, and taking responsibility for their actions;
* Assist children in expressing themselves by listening, responding to and asking open ended questions or comments that extend children’s conversations
