Secondary Art Teacher Fall 24-25 Overview: The Christian School at Castle Hills is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to serve as the Secondary Art Teacher.
We are seeking an individual who has and supports a biblical worldview.
Our faculty and staff must have an evidenced walk with God in their daily life, a relationship with Jesus Christ through salvation, and a vibrant, consistent involvement in a Bible-believing church.
An individual’s personal Christian testimony is the most important part of our search process.

Responsibilities: 1.
Curriculum Development: · Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging art curriculum that covers a range of mediums, techniques, and art styles.
· Design art projects and assignments that encourage students to explore their creativity, develop technical skills, and express themselves artistically.
· Integrate biblical principles and Christian worldview perspectives into the teaching of art, helping students understand the connection between art and faith.

Classroom Instruction: · Create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment where students feel inspired, valued, and encouraged to take risks in their artistic endeavors.
· Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations to teach students various art techniques, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
· Facilitate group critiques and discussions that promote critical thinking, self-reflection, and appreciation of artistic expression.

Spiritual Integration: · Infuse Christian values and principles into art instruction, encouraging students to explore how their faith influences their artistic expression and worldview.
· Encourage students to reflect on the beauty of God's creation and use their artistic talents to glorify Him.
· Model Christian character and values in all interactions with students, colleagues, and parents, demonstrating love, grace, and humility.

Student Development: · Support the artistic growth and development of students by providing constructive feedback, encouragement, and mentorship.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, respect, and appreciation for diverse artistic perspectives and styles.
· Provide opportunities for students to showcase their artwork through exhibitions, competitions, and community events.

Collaboration and Professional Development: · Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
· Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about current trends, techniques, and best practices in art education.
· Reflect on teaching practices and seek opportunities for self-improvement and growth as an educator and artist.
Qualifications: * A committed Christian with a strong personal faith and a passion for integrating faith and art.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (Master's preferred).
* Teaching certification or licensure in art education.
* Previous teaching experience at the high school level, preferably in a Christian school setting.
* Proficiency in a variety of art mediums and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
* Willingness to support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of The Christian School at Castle Hills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $28,000.
00 - $36,000.
