edu/jobs/*_ *Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering* *Full-time, 12-months, Tenure Track, Faculty* The Engineering Department at Schreiner University in Kerrville, TX invites applications for a tenure track, full-time, on-campus position as Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering to begin August 2024.
Schreiner University launched its Engineering major in Fall 2022 with tracks in Mechanical and Civil and is pursuing ABET accreditation.
The successful candidate will expand this rapidly growing engineering degree with a new track in Biomedical Engineering.
We seek an individual with a strong commitment to undergraduate education in a liberal arts environment, and leadership potential to develop and grow this new program.
Research specialization is open.
Primary responsibilities include teaching lower-level general engineering courses and a wide range of upper-level biomedical engineering courses.
Typical duties for the position include teaching 12 credit hours per semester; maintaining a productive research program that provides opportunities for undergraduate research compatible with the resources available at a primarily undergraduate institution; and service to the university through committee work and academic advising of undergraduate students.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Biomedical Engineering (or a related field) or ABD with completion no later than August 2024.
Teaching experience is preferred.
