Schreiner University invites applications for a faculty position in Business with a Finance focus with an anticipated start date of January 2024.
The University seeks an individual with a strong commitment to undergraduate education in a liberal arts environment and the leadership acumen to develop and grow the Finance degree and our fully online BA in Business degree.
The successful candidate will have the experience and skills to provide leadership in the Business Division through innovative pedagogies, relevant curriculum, business and industry cultivation, contributions to the Hill Country community, and integration of the disciplines within the division.
Applicants should be interested in teaching a wide range of upper and lower-level business courses both online and face-to-face.
Primary responsibilities include teaching courses at all levels of the curriculum.
The successful candidate will also show initiative in developing and expanding the online Business degree and taking advantage of leadership opportunities within the division.
Other duties include establishing student chapters of professional societies, fostering relationships with local industry to support Capstone projects, advising, and mentoring students, and establishing a research agenda that involves scholarship of discovery or application.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Finance, or a closely related field, or ABD in Finance or closely related field with completion no later than January 2024.
Both classroom and online teaching experience is preferred.
