Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities: - Assist in the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum for preschool and toddler care programs - Provide support and assistance to children with special needs, including those with autism - Create a safe and nurturing environment for all children in the daycare setting - Assist with behavior management and promote positive social interactions among children - Collaborate with lead teachers to plan and facilitate educational activities and lessons - Monitor and supervise children during indoor and outdoor playtime - Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in early childhood education preferred - Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a daycare or preschool setting - Knowledge of child development principles and practices - Familiarity with curriculum development for preschool-aged children - Understanding of behavior management techniques, particularly for children with special needs - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Please note that this is a general job description for an Assistant Teacher position.
