GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Inclusion Instructional Coach plays a pivotal role in ensuring our preschool program provides an inclusive and supportive environment for all children.
This position collaborates with preschool directors, preschool teachers, preschool paraprofessionals, and therapists, to create an inclusive classroom environment s and adapting engaging curriculums for all learners.
As part of the Preschool Inclusion Team (PIT), this position supports children with disabilities or delays, utilizing multi-disciplinary Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) model.
Which includes assessments, developing personalized intervention plans, and collaborating with teachers and therapists on implementing support strategies in the classroom.
This position will also assist in facilitating family conferences, connecting them to resources, and connect families with appropriate resources across all Brighton programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This position requires face to face interactions with co-workers, families, children, and the general public on a daily basis to accomplish all essential functions of the position.
CLASSROOM CURRICULUM COLLABRATION (60%) Core member of Preschool Inclusion Team, in collaboration with teachers, directors and therapist to implement strategies in the classroom.
Ensures collaboration with teachers to create a rich, individualized learning environment that meets licensing and NAEYC standards.
Observe classrooms and coach’s teachers in implementing adaptive curriculum with fidelity.
Partner with Lead Teachers to develop monthly lesson plans considering student’s individual needs.
Assist with obtaining and coaching on adaptive curriculum materials and supplies.
Integrate and executes Preschool Intervention Plans into lesson plan development.
Maintain child’s documentation in the database for smooth transitions, assessments, and parent-teacher conferences.
Collaborate with teachers to document child progress through weekly assessments and checkpoints.
Train teachers on the curriculum expectations, and management system for effective child development support.
Assist with accessing public-school special education services, by coordinating with the Special Education Support Services (SESS) program.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING (20%) Assist with onboarding new hires with adaptive curriculum and classroom management training.
Create a training resource bank for teachers' professional development needs.
Partner with directors to design training components for All-Preschool Staff Training Days.
Assist in developing and facilitating lunch & learns.
Develop and implement individualized annual training & professional development plans for Teaching Staff PRESCHOOL ENROLLMENT (15%) Participate in preschool enrollment in collaboration with Preschool Directors to ensure a balanced mix of children's needs in each classroom.
Assist with enrollment process, including initial assessments, parent meetings, and classroom observations.
Conduct screenings using as a part of the MTSS model using the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ).
Recommend and connect families with additional community resources.
OTHER FUNCTIONS (5%) Perform other duties as needed to support the Preschool program.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, special education, or a related field, with at least 4 years of experience working with children ages 0-5 in: Licensed or accredited childcare centers Special education programs and curriculum Early childhood education programs Other relevant experience working directly with children ages 0-5.
OR an Associate of Applied Science in Child Development with at least 8 years of experience working with children ages 0-5 in the settings listed above.
Two (2) years’ experience working with children with disabilities.
Working knowledge or ability to obtain knowledge of NAECY and preschool licensing standards.
Preferred: Experience working in a pediatric therapy clinic setting in addition to a classroom setting.

Must be motivated to learn and grow in an educational environment; and be willing to continually increase knowledge in the field of Early Childhood Education.
Must be able to relate with and speak to parents in a respectful and courteous manner; must be willing to work in a team environment to include willingness to share ideas & be open to other’s ideas; and be flexible & willing to compromise.

Ability to climb up and down stairs.
Ability to drive personal vehicle and have/maintain personal auto liability insurance.
