Hours: Minimum 20 to Maximum 29 hours per week Job class: Part-time, Temporary - Date of Hire to June 14, 2024, and July 15, 2024, to February 28, 2025 Summary/Objective The STEM Program Coordinator (PT) reports to the Strategic Partnerships Manager and will be responsible for operational tasking and training to support CIS-SA Site Coordinators implementing STEM education programming and services including STEM Family Nights, facilitating STEM Science Workshops and STEM Career Toolkits.
Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions STEM Programming Host 30 SAISD STEM Family Nights and coordinate calendar of events.
Prepare curriculum and materials for STEM Family Nights station kits.
Manage inventory of STEM enrichment supplies and technology.
Maintain curriculum and marketing materials for STEM Family Nights.
Support distribution of STEM Career Toolkits to designated CIS-SA middle schools.
STEM Training and Facilitation Provide training and support to schools implementing STEM Family Nights.
Facilitate 12 STEM Science workshops for designated CIS-SA middle schools.
Provide training and support to Site Coordinator administration and use of the toolkit.
STEM Community Relations Support partnerships with STEM-related organizations and businesses in partnership with the Strategic Partnership Manager.
Attend STEM-related community outreach events and partnership meetings when applicable.
Communicate consistently with STEM partners and CIS Site Coordinators.
Promote STEM related resources to staff, students, and families.
Data Reporting Coordinate the collection of sign-in sheets and other data needed for reporting to funder.
Develop and maintain appropriate reporting of STEM related activities.
Design and Disseminate surveys to staff and participants about STEM programming.
Administrative & Other Duties Attend professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
Plan and make appropriate expenditures and maintain budgets.
Read and adhere to all safety policies issued by the school and CISSA.
Manage timecard.

Flexible commitment from Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 6:00PM, Minimum 20 - Maximum 29 hours per week.
Travel Travel is local during the business day.

Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
Proficiency in the use of computers for: word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
A willingness to follow the philosophy of CIS and operate as a team player.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications 3 or more years of experience with delivering STEM related curriculum and activities.
3 or more years of experience working in a school setting.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications/Requirements Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
Prefer bilingual ability in English and Spanish.
