Salary Range: $40,000- $45,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions Job Summary Manage operations and logistics of First-Generation and Transfer student programs.
Responsible for scheduling, planning, coordinating, and managing programs that support the retention, persistence and holistic development of first-generation and transfer students.
This position involves collaboration with various campus stakeholders, including college student success centers, academic departments, student services and student organizations to create a supportive environment with programming that fosters a sense of community belonging for first-generation and transfer students.
Core Responsibilities Plans, coordinates, and implements centralized First-Generation and Transfer Student programs that provide individualized support and mentoring to help students navigate academic, social and personal challenges.
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate graduate and undergraduate peer educators involved in the planning and delivery of mentoring and belonging programming.
Manage centralized logistics involved with recruiting and training for peer educators that serve first-year, first-generation and transfer students.
Plan, coordinate and facilitate pre-semester training and weekly in-service training programs for peer educators.
Collaborate with campus partners to deliver common certified pre-semester peer educator training experience in alignment with division strategic priorities.
Create, plan, implement, and evaluate student development curricula for first-generation and transfer student peer mentorship programs delivered through program services, peer educator trainings and other professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with student success campus partners to support activities, events and programming focused on the development, retention and persistence of first-generation and transfer students.
Manage the strategic marketing of first-generation and transfer programs to students, parents, and faculty including making presentations, distributing informational flyers, and engaging multiple social media and online platforms.
Implement effective data collection, management, analysis, and reporting systems to evaluate effectiveness and inform continuous improvement of programs and services.
Regularly use student success technology to monitor student progress and to target outreach and program resources toward students demonstrating heightened need for peer mentoring and belonging programs services.
Maintain affiliation with the nationally recognized Center for First-Generation Student Success.
Serves as a member work working group and provides logistical coordination support for activities involved with institutional membership in the First-Gen Forward and First Scholars professional networks.
Implement a system of internal controls to ensure compliance with university policies as well as effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required.
3 years of professional related experience to include program coordination and supervision in higher education, education or related field.
Master's degree can substitute for 1 year of experience.
Experience with developing, delivering and assessing training programs.
Experience with planning, organizing and evaluating events.
Tact, diplomacy and judgment necessary to collaborate effectively with students, faculty and other members of the campus community to achieve common goals in the delivery of services to target student groups.
Demonstrated understanding and familiarity with issues related to recruitment, persistence, and graduation of students from low-income, first-generation, historically under-resourced backgrounds in higher education.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple high-priority projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree preferred.
Experience using a learning management system such as Blackboard or Canvas.
Experience using student success technologies such Civitas, Starfish, or Navigate.
Ability to read, write and speak Spanish fluently.
Knowledge and familiarity of first-generation/transfer students, including theories, practices, and programming associated with student transition, learning, motivation and retention.
