Salary Salary Range: Up to $75,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions Job Summary The Commercialization Program Manager will be responsible for evaluating and implementing participation in both internal and external events and programs that highlight UTSA's commercialization activities and capabilities.
Working closely with UTSA's Technology Licensing Associates, faculty and other staff in UTSA's greater innovation ecosystem and community, the Program Manager will also create and host events and opportunities for growing faculty engagement with industry and highlight the technologies that are in development at the university.
These activities and programs will grow UTSA's successes developing and launching innovations and create additional opportunities for industry and faculty collaborations.
The following two programs are examples of currently supported programs: NSF I-Corps Hub The Program Manager will be responsible for recruiting and instructing at regional and possibly national level commercialization programs.
Other responsibilities will include managing data and outcomes of programs and comply with all reporting requirements.
Oversee all marketing materials and social media outreach.
The ultimate goal is to ensure compliance with the NSF I-Corps Southwest Hub grant and provide direction for growth and expansion of the programs.
VMS-SA The Program Manager will be responsible for interacting with the company teams and mentors to coordinate regular meetings and working with the VMS directors to support and grow the mentor community.
Work with the UT System's Texas Venture Connect and the other UT regional venture mentoring programs.
Other responsibilities will include managing data and outcomes of programs and comply with all reporting requirements.
Oversee all marketing materials and social media outreach.
Core Responsibilities Recruit and support teams of researchers and students to participate in cohorts of the NSF I-Corps Programs.
Develop with the teaching team syllabi and materials for the program, including curriculum, assignments, and assessments.
Organize and coordinate all UTSA-related aspects of the programs, including scheduling, logistics, communication with participants, coaches, and teaching team.
Conduct regular one-on-one progress meetings with participating teams to monitor progress and provide guidance and support.
Record and maintain accurate data and records for the program, including participant demographics, progress, and outcomes.
Give presentations and talks across the supported campuses to promote and recruit for the NSF I-Corps, VMS Programs and other programs and events as needed.
Build and maintain partnerships with faculty, staff, and organizations across the campuses to strengthen and expand the programs and grow commercialization opportunities.
Collaborate with program stakeholders to evaluate and assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Manage program budget and expenses such as events, participant travel reimbursements or the issuance of stipends.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as business, entrepreneurship, or science).
Five years of related experience to the statement of duties and responsibilities.
Experience in program management or project management.
Familiarity with entrepreneurship and commercialization of research or technology.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.
Knowledge of data collection and analysis techniques.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and operating Zoom meetings.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve program goals.
Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree.

Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.
