Salary Salary Range: $45,000 - $52,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Essential Functions Job Summary The International Student Engagement Coordinator, will support international students' successful transition to UTS and the U.
S.
and meet their on-going practical and career needs in collaboration with stakeholders across campus.
This coordinator will serve as a hub for international students and work with the many units on campus that support international students.
Through multiple modes of social connection and tailored programming, the coordinator will promote belonging, socialization, career engaged learning, and student success.
In this one-year appointment, renewable subject to funding, this position will support increased international student retention and improve "quality of life" experiences from acceptance to post-graduation.
Core Responsibilities Collaborates closely with the English Language Center and International Student & Scholar Services and with counterparts across the university including the Graduate School, Student Success Centers, Student Affairs, University Career Center, Orientation and Family Programs, Recreation and Wellness Center, and Student Ombuds to achieve stated goals and objectives for the 2023-2024 academic year and summer 2024.
Connects international students to local resources and accurate, timely information prior to arrival, through various communication channels, supported by a network of peer mentors.
Collaborates to support students in career preparation throughout their academic careers at UTSA.
Serves as a conduit for surveying and assessing needs and concerns of international students, as they arise.
Creates and supports on-going programming to support the whole international student: fostering their intellectual development, learning UTSA academic culture, their career readiness, their health and wellbeing, and their sense of belonging both on campus and in San Antonio, Texas.
Set program/event goals and objectives, establish criteria for measuring desired results and impacts, and document procedures and assessments.
Demonstrates UTSA core values: Integrity, Excellence, Inclusiveness, Respect, Collaboration and Innovation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
3 years related experience administering programs and/or services to college students, including planning and implementing large-scale social and educational programs, creating new student programs and initiatives, assessing programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1 year customer service experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage work concurrently.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships and communicate with diverse populations and stakeholders.
Knowledge of standard office productivity software.
Demonstrated effective organizational, time-management and administrative support skills.
Working knowledge of student development theory and higher education practices.
Knowledge of Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and F-1 and J-1 visa regulations preferred.
Hold a valid Texas State Driver License, auto insurance, and ability to drive a vehicle.
Working knowledge of social media platforms, graphic design programs, event management, and/or student organization software.

Working Conditions Working Environment: Requires use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.

This position will be primarily located: Hybrid-Regularly: This position will require working both remotely and on campus (approximately three days on campus per week).
