Position Summary The Department of Computer Science (CS) in the College of Sciences at UTSA invites applications for at least two (2) tenure-track Assistant Professors in our fast-evolving research focus on Cybersecurity and Privacy, which is closely aligned with UTSA's strategic plans, our Institute for Cyber Security (ICS), our Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) and the School of Data Science (SDS).
Specializations of interest include network security, system security, software / hardware security, privacy protection, cryptography, machine learning, and usable security / privacy.
The department is seeking candidates with experience in applying these and related specializations to create robust, secure, and trustworthy solutions that solve complex real-world problems.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform research, teaching and program development at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Candidates will demonstrate their ability to work with urban populations and support the University's commitment to thrive as a Hispanic Serving Institution and a model for student success.
