The lunar new year Asian festival is celebrated with the first new moon of the lunar calendar; the year 2024 is slated to be the Year of the Dragon.
Celebrated with dance, music, food, martial arts, and other Asian traditions.
The festival welcomes Asian cultures from mainland China, the Indian Subcontinent, the Southeast Asian nations and the island nations of the Pacific.
Each culture celebrates the Lunar New Year differently with various foods and traditions that symbolize prosperity, abundance and togetherness.
You are invited to attend the San Antonio Asian New Festival 2024 with the local and visiting Asian community in this family-orientated event.
This 2-day event on Saturday and Sunday, February 10 & 11, 2024, is presented by the Aloha Events, LLC with the support of Rolling Oaks Mall and Community of San Antonio with plenty of free parking and free admission to an event filled with something for everyone.
You will be embraced by the Asian spirit of community and welcoming hearts that is extended to
you at this special festival as you are welcomed to participate and join the San Antonio Chinese Alliance Dragon Dance Team as they parade thru the Mall.
Check out the Mighty Eagle Sumo Wrestling Tournament next to the "Asian Liabation Station located at "The Battle Pub".
Martial Arts Demonstrations, various Cultural Performances including the exciting San Antonio Chinese lion dancers and Hula Halau Ohana Elikapeka fire-dancing.
You can participate or watch the CosPlay Contest - "Asian Invasion", as well as the KPOP Random Play Dance and Karaoke stage.
You can browse around for treasured items from the Arts and Crafts Vendors to enjoying the WOK this Way - Asian New Year Food Court in the parking lot.
This free admission event is enjoyable for the whole family which will also give you an opportunity to experience the Asian culture all without having to leave San Antonio! You’re also invited to get your party on by attending “The After Party” with DJ Kana Phat Cat and Kealohilani on Saturday the 10th from 6pm
to 8pm at the Wok this Way Asian New Year food court.
