Pay Grade 17 Deadline to Apply: April 11, 2024 Position Summary Manage and oversee daily work of Revenue Assurance & Meter Quality team to ensure appropriate documentation and reporting of AMI Meter Headend system.
Ensures customer accounts are correct and reflect accurate consumption.
Provides operational, strategic direction, mentoring and leadership to the Revenue Assurance & Meter Quality team.
Ensure Department goals and objectives are aligned with CPS Energy’s business strategy.
Addresses issues and concerns relating to the department.
Tasks and Responsibilities Manages the planning and organization of people, resources, equipment and process responsible for meter reading and investigating suspected energy/theft diversion, switch meter investigations.
Collaborates with the IT team to ensure the effectiveness of the utility billing software (SAP/MDS/FCS).
Develops and implements tools and techniques to analyze extremely large AMI meter data sets to reveal patterns, trends, and associations.
Ensures customer accounts are correct and reflect accurate consumption charges along with timely meter readings and billing.
Manages employees including selecting or recommending selection, training, assigning and evaluating work.
Identifies, builds and communicates performance measures and expected performance levels.
Analyzes data from various software applications and databases to ensure effectiveness.
Manages and improves team and employee performance through coaching, mentoring and on-the-job training, positive recognition and discipline when appropriate.
Performs a variety of presentations and training functions using good communication skills.
Ensures that work is performed in accordance with appropriate Company standards and work methods including monitoring for a high quality of workmanship.
Provides employee feedback and seeks to enhance performance and enhance safety.
Identifies, develops, documents and implements business area processes, work procedures, employing process improvement techniques to ensure optimal efficiencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities Demonstrated leadership experience.
May be through formal supervisory experience or achieved informally, e.
g.
by directing the work of a junior colleague or through significant peer leadership experience Demonstrated experience in electric field and gas industry Proficient in Energy IP meter read and consumption analytics.
Demonstrated experience with Utility IQ system.
Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and Forecasting Principles Ability to prepare and present financial reporting Knowledge of Public Utility Commission (PUC) compliance and requirements Assertive self-starter, with ability to work independently and with minimal supervision, with a high degree of accuracy and ability to handle and/or manage sensitive and confidential information.
Evidence of strong planning and organization skills, essential for managing multiple tasks and large-scale projects of the section while ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, multi-tasking, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal, written & communicational skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact well with others (peers, co-workers, all levels of the organization and outside entities).
Demonstrated ability to contribute in a team environment, either as a team leader or team member.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling Proficient in an ERP meter and customer service principles.
Preferred Qualifications Previous direct experience with Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI or Smart Meters) implementations.
Demonstrated experience with data analysis to improve and enhance the performance of the grid.
Understanding of Oracle Database and SQL servers Project management experience Competencies Delegating Responsibility Navigating Organizations Prioritizing and Organizing Work Developing Plans Driving Projects to Completion Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field from an accredited university, OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Required Certifications Working Environment Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
Ability to travel between business related events.
