We need someone who is experienced with successfully running a very large FTTH operation, preferably with extensive rural, small town experience.

We are looking for an _*active *_project director, who spends most of their time in the field.
This is a director position, but we want you out seeing the work and meeting with the town officials as often as you can--we see this as an 80% in-the-field/on-the-ground position.

*Experience Needed includes:*
* Successful execution of FTTH construction projects with prior field experience and a hands-on, in-the-field, active management approach.
* Management of 30+ drill and trench crews working in multiple locations; production and office management.

* Additional support from headquarters personnel
*Responsibilities include:*
Management and detailed knowledge of all project construction/production requirements.
Management of subs, in-house, and field personnel.
Successful setup and management of:
* Production Inspection and Approval
* Production Quality Control
* Production Reporting
* Crew Relations and Management
* Safety Management
* Work Assignments, Work Queue Management
* Materials Handling, Issuance, and Inventory Management
* Restoration/Repairs Relations and Management
* Locates Management
* Equipment Provisioning and Management
Management and detailed knowledge of all project administrative requirements.
Hiring and management of project administrative staff.
Successful setup and management of:
* Redlines/As-Builts Creation and Management
* Payroll Preparation and Approval
* Materials/Inventory Management and Tracking
* Locates Tracking
* Permits Applications and Tracking
* Engineering Tracking/Prints Queue Management
* Hits Tracking and Reporting
* Equipment Tracking
*This is a 3+ year project/position.
Project/yard location will be south of San Antonio.
All work is rural and small towns, FTTH and middle mile.

*Compensation includes $175,000+ annual salary, healthcare gold PPO, and company vehicle.
