Summary: This is a key position within our manufacturing facility, which produces quality food products for our customers.
The Maintenance Technician will conduct machine setup, troubleshoot equipment failures, and perform repair and prevent maintenance services, ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed.
*Additional $1.
50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6 PM-6 AM.
*Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.
Duties, Responsibilities and Abilities: Effectively complete preventative and predictive maintenance per weekly schedule to prevent breakdowns on equipment.
Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments.
Proficient in operating all plant equipment to better troubleshoot and maintain as required.
Communicate with team leaders and production associates regarding critical findings during routine inspections.
Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system) to record all maintenance activities daily.
Proficient in welding and metal fabrication to include proper use of machine shop equipment.
Proficient in understanding and troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics circuits and systems.
Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems such as gearboxes, bearings, seals, clutch & brakes, etc.
Proficient in troubleshooting 230/480 motor control circuits in a manufacturing environment, utilizing multi-meter and other test equipment.
Must have experience in troubleshooting and replacing VF Drives and other motor control devices.
Must have experience in troubleshooting PLCs and understanding components and logic.
Proficient in utilizing line drawings and schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
Ensuring daily adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Regulations Must be willing to invest time in continuous improvement of technical skills Minimum Job Requirements: Experience: Must have strong skills in mechanical, electrical, PLCs, troubleshooting, as well as basic maintenance skills.
(AB, Siemens) Must have an educational background in electrical, electronic, and PLC devices.
Must be available to work off shifts.
Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment 2 year technical degree or equivalent educational knowledge.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, darkness, and/or noise.
Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness and humidity.
Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards.
Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling and twisting on a daily basis.
Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
Must be able to climb vertical ladders to 80’.
Personal protective equipment, as defined by Morrison Milling Company will be provided.
