Title: Project Manager (Logistics) Location: Fort Sam Houston, TX Status: Full-time Position Summary: Midnight Sun Technologies is seeking a Project Manager to support Logistics on a Federal contract at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
The Project Manager will develop and execute construction projects from concept through final acceptance in support of the BAMC mission.
This may include projects that have large and complex scopes, long-range time frames and a high level of impact.
Those projects require highly specialized skills, and/or are projects that are multi-agency or enterprise-wide.
Technical assistance will be required for the following: developing government estimates, providing recommendations on the selection of materials and colors, coordinating with customers, scheduling, quality assurance inspections, review final of "As Built" drawings, providing recommendations to final project acceptance and turnover and assisting in warranty support.
This is a proposal position and contingent upon contract award.
Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and execute construction projects from concept through final acceptance.
Provide technical logistics support developing estimates, providing recommendations on the selectin of materials and colors, coordinating with customers, scheduling, quality assurance inspections, review of final "As Built" drawings, providing recommendations to final project acceptance and turnover, and assisting in warranty support.
Collect and validate existing requirements and prepare supporting materials.
Collect equipment lists, planning information, and prepare supporting material to analyze equipment requirements intended to support the replacement of complex medical equipment and biomedical systems.
Provide facility support services to develop improvements or recommend changes as required to support the current situation and projected requirements.
Document tasks and procedures.
Schedule, attend, and provide management briefings in regular client meetings.
Provide status reports/briefings as required.
Actively participate in personnel recruitment and onboarding, as well as manage supervision, discipline, and performance reviews.
Ensure deliverables are met and work quality meets or exceeds the expected levels per the Statements of Work.
Provide customer relations support between the Contractor and the Government.
Responsible for the overall management of the contract.
Ensure compliance Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines and procedures in compliance with all Federal, state, and local requirements.
Complete all required government training.
Must have an Uncompromising Commitment to Safety.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: Education/Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience over the last 5 years in Project Management and/or Construction (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Civil, or Architectural).
High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated ability to implement knowledge of Army healthcare facility management processes and organizations.
Knowledge of standardized US Army facility and installation administrative practices, guidelines, and procedures to validate and distill work process/work management studies, implementation, and execution.
Ability to communicate using telephones, voicemail, pagers, pneumatic tube system, mail, outlook mail, Internet, and fax machines using all available communication devices to enhance customer assistance.
Ability to read and interpret As-Built drawings.
Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and email applications.
Certifications/Licenses Valid Driver's License.
CPR/First Aid certification required within 45 days of hire date.
Work Environment: Performance of the required job duties will be in a construction environment, which may include various weather conditions.
Responsible for driving between project sites that are often miles apart or miles from the assigned office location.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: Ability to walk terrain and surfaces that may be far, uneven, or temporary.
Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
Ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, or reach.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This position may require a pre-employment physical and other vaccination requirements.
