Job Summary:
The Estimator will develop relationships, prioritize bid requests, and prepare competitive bid proposals to maintain the company workload requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
Review bid documents, communicate with suppliers, and prepare competitive bid packages to meet company workload goals.
Review construction plans, communicate with Clients and Engineers to execute a set plan to exceed customer expectations.
Meets and collaborates with clients, engineers, and other staff to understand the estimates and project requirements being developed.
Drafts cost estimates for projects based on data analysis and research; distributes reports to engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Prepares reports from past production data and make recommendations based on findings.
Identifies the pricing structure required for projects to sell at identified profit goals.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive knowledge of cost accounting principles.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to create forecasts based on financial data.
Proficient with estimating and accounting software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
Two years of construction estimating experience required.
Two years of field construction or project management experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
