*Summary:*
The Facility Technician I will perform minor repairs and will help to troubleshoot equipment.
This person will also perform routine facility and equipment maintenance.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Assist with the installation, maintenance and repairs of production machines and facility equipment.
* Assist with building maintenance and repairs such as painting the building, performing carpentry work, and installing pipe.
* Keep the maintenance shop clean and organized.
* Operate a forklift and a scissor lift.
* Perform other duties and projects as needed and assigned.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* *High School Diploma* or *GED* required.
* Must have a *minimum *of 1 year of relevant work experience.
* Ability to work in heights and to climb and descend a ladder.
* Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.
* Must have basic computer skills and a valid driver’s license.
* Must have excellent communication skills because of *daily contact with *internal employees.
* Must be able to pass a *background check, drug test and a reference check*.
*Physical Demands:*
* Required to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, climb, balance, kneel, reach, grasp, see and have eye/hand/foot coordination, occasionally type, and effectively communicate.
* Ability to lift a minimum of 20lbs.
* This position works in a typical office, warehouse, and manufacturing environment.
* Clarity of vision including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors.
* Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
