Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our team.
As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining hydrovac equipment to safely and efficiently excavate soil and debris.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Operate hydrovac equipment to safely excavate soil and debris
- Perform hydro excavation tasks including digging, trenching, and exposing utilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, bulldozers, Caterpillar machines, graders, and water trucks
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain and inspect equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hydrovac operation or related field preferred
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling, water truck operation, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and maps
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Excellent communication skills
