*Job Summary:*
The Aesthetician administers professional facials, peels, microdermabrasion, Hydrafacial and other medical spa skincare treatments to our patients.
(State Dependant).
They must possess a thorough knowledge of the skin, all skin types, acne and pre- and post-surgical protocols if applicable.
They must have excellent facial massage and skin extraction techniques, possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our spa’s specific facial treatment offerings.
They must possess excellent communication skills and be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness and beauty solutions to meet the needs of our patients.
They must hold and maintain a current state license.
*Duties and Responsibilities:* * Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
* Provide consistent professional medical treatments, facial and body treatments in accordance with office protocols and accepted certification practices.
* Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the practice.
* Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
* Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training patients in these areas so they are aware of all of our services offered.
* Actively promote home skin care regimens and document all medical information using appropriate forms and clinical notes in the software system.
* Meet minimum retail and service sales goals, monthly, quarterly and annually – 20% of total revenue.
* Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
* Thoroughly document all patient treatments and conversations in a timely manner.
* Have a thorough working knowledge of all medical protocols, standard operating procedures, and policies that pertain to your role.
* Support other practitioners by assisting with rooming and prepping patients for treatment.
* Having a working knowledge of all medical services in addition to esthetic services and guide clients to appropriate service to help best achieve their goals.
Even if it is not a service you perform * Perform prep work and properly clean and restock room as required.
* Actively promote all treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
* Handle patients’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
* Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by patients, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
* Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
* Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
* Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the medical spa.
* Assist in all areas of business operation as requested by management.
* Attend all scheduled trainings, in-services, and CE’s in and out of house.
* Abide by facility established pricing guides and minimums.
Discuss any deviation with management in advance.

* Extensive knowledge of classic and new skin care techniques * Extremely strong time management skills.
* Ability to abide by HIPPA and respect client confidentiality * Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.
* Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge.
* Must be a team player.
* Communicate effectively and transparently.
* Be courteous and respectful.
* Solutions oriented and innovative.
* Attend 2 external trainings per year and educate staff on course.
* Attendance at all meetings, trainings, in-services, and other arrangements deemed important to business development by management.
* World class professionalism with both patients and co-workers.
* Absolute confidentiality, as outlined in our confidentiality policy, in all matters pertaining to both clients and the business.
*Education and Experience Requirements:* * Must hold and maintain a current State license * Minimum of 3-5 years in an aesthetic, dermatology or plastic surgery practice NOTE: All duties and requirements stated are essential job functions.
