Hey Potential Roommate!
One of the four bedrooms in our beautiful N Portland home is available for rent starting February 1st! $455per month, utilities not included.
Bills typically range between 60-120$ per month.
The house is a lovely old 2-story craftsman (built circa 1910) with a massive basement in the Alberta Arts District.
It has plenty of charm, with all the original floors, doors, and molding.
It’s understandably worn and creaky in some places, but really warm and comfortable throughout.
The house is mostly furnished, but the bedroom is not.
We are all flexible and enjoy periodic change, so if you have a piece of furniture you love I’m sure there will be room for it.
There are 4 bedrooms total and there is only one bathroom (downstairs) in the house, which briefly concerned all of us upon moving in, but even with five people in the past, has never caused any issues.
Communication helps :) There is plenty of closet and storage space throughout, and over 1,000 square feet of basement space that is well utilized and still not full.
The front porch is affectionately referred to as our favorite room in the house, where you’ll find us on warmer days hanging out on the couch or tending the small garden plot on our
front lawn.
The house has central heating, there are AC units in every bedroom, laundry on site (both washer and dryer), dishwasher, gas stove and oven, and 3 fridges (1 main, 2 mini).
The open room is on the first floor on the backside of the house.
It has two windows, gets decent morning and afternoon light and has a spacious closet.

The neighborhood is great, and our location in it is perfect.
We are 1 building away from the corner of Albina/Alberta, 2 blocks west is the 5/405 freeway entrance, and you can get most anywhere in Portland proper in 20 minutes or less.
2 blocks north is the Cherry Sprout, our delightful (and often artisinal) local organic market.
1 block east is Jefferson High and a cute dog park.
Finally, great restaurants and bars are lined down as many blocks as you can walk to the south along the historic Mississippi Ave.
And arguably the best cornerstore in Portland is directly across the street (shoutout Mr.
Lee).
The current tenants are well established, and have been living together for a while:
Ryan (33 he/him) has been living here the longest and has invested quite a bit of himself into the home.
Most of the furniture is his, and most of the repairs and technical additions to the house are his handiwork.
Ryan is a helpful, passionate individual, who can breathe fire into any conversation.
Plant dad, handy-dude, and all around badass.
He is intelligent, kind, and will go out of his way to support the people he cares about.
You will often find him in the midst of 6 projects at once, cooking, tending to the home, playing games, or laughing to himself somewhere in the house.
(written by Zack lol)
Zack (29 he/him) is the resident long-legged silly goose.
Zack’s a full time student, and graduates in June.
He loves music, molecules, and pro wrestling.
He is clever, goofy, creative, sweet, and a true joy to be around.
You will likely find him staring blankly into the refrigerator waiting for the next meal to materialize, napping on the couch, or practicing his perpetually upcoming Idol audition.
A sight to behold.
Dylan (28 he/him) is the newest addition.
Living here since October.
He moved from Detroit and spends most nights out of the house exploring the city with his camera.
When not at work or out and about you can find him playing guitar, getting back from a run, or beating Ryan at Chess.
He's a very laid back, no muss/no fuss kinda cat with a very friendly demeanor who is looking forward to getting to know you :)
Responsible pet owners will definitely still be considered, but we’d prefer keep the home pet-free due to allergies.
Thank you for taking the time to read this long post! We risk overselling the space because we really want to find the right person, that will gel with the house as a whole.
The vibe here is comfortable, clean, silly, compassionate, and kind.
We are looking for a fourth adult who can help us co-create a copacetic living situation.
Solid communicators are a must and shared interests are a huge plus.
If this sounds like a place you want to be and we sound like people you want to be with, send me a message so that we can set up an interview.
