Summary:
The St.
Stephen’s CARE Center Associate is responsible for helping individuals/families seeking food and clothing assistance during intake.
The Associate is also helping with incoming donations of food and clothing, stocking the store, providing services, data entry of units and demographics information.
The Associate will also train receptionist AARP enrollees/volunteers plus support to the Director in reporting and data entry.
Position Responsibilities:
* Provide help with intake of walk-in clients for assistance through the Family Self-Sufficiency Program
* Provide support with walking clients through pantry as needed.

e.
if client has disabilities that prevents them from walking or selecting items, bagging food/clothing, answering questions that they might have, etc.
* Train qualified volunteers on database for assistance.
* Provides administrative support to the director as needed, i.
e client count, in-kind receipts, etc.
* Restock shelves in food pantry and/or racks in clothes closet, when needed.
* Cover receptionist area when needed.
Respond to inquiries, phone calls, and e-mails in a timely and responsive manner
Exercises discretion regarding acceptance and/or disposition of donated goods and maintains donor relationships through attentive customer service
Completes donation paperwork for donors.
Participate in staff meetings onsite, including all staff meetings, and selected Development team meetings.
Complete weekly schedule and submit timesheets in a timely manner.
Must complete all required professional development assigned in a timely manner.
Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
GED or High School Diploma.
Experience
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in retail store with at least 1 years of experience in Customer Service and/or food handling experience.
License and Credentials
Reliable transportation
Valid driver license, with clean driving record
Valid vehicle insurance
Fluent in English and Spanish preferred
Able to pass a criminal background Check
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in working in an office setting including retail, and/or food handling;
Extensive working knowledge of spreadsheets, and Computers;
Experience with computer software and Microsoft Home Office (i.
e.
, Word and Excel software preferred);
A solid grasp of customer service and de-escalation techniques;
Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team;
Must have good written and verbal skills;
Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements for the position includes _20___% local and __0__% overnight.
