Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the DGR Optimization Director, the Manager/ DGR Merchandising works closely with DGR leadership to continuously improve merchandising standardization and effectiveness to maximize sales revenue.
This position is accountable for assisting in the establishment and training of merchandising guidelines that facilitate achievement of DGR goals.
Auditing and ensuring all stores maintain compliance with merchandising standards is also a key responsibility of this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Understand and commit to mission services delivery to retail team members as a high priority in store operations.
Ensure personal leadership is focused first on people and mission.
Build strong teamwork throughout DGR operations and between DGR and support functions.
Engage all employees from a servant leadership perspective and model expected work ethic.
Work with DGR leaders and employees to establish a culture of compliance with safety, ethics and quality standards within all DGR operations.
Develop, refresh and maintain documented merchandising standards.
Train merchandising standards to all retail leaders and employees.
Audit and provide feedback to store leaders and employees on a regular basis regarding quality of merchandising practices and adherence to standards.
Regularly evaluate donations, types, quality and quantities to provide specific merchandising guidance to store leadership.
Engage with DGR leadership to utilize key metrics in providing merchandising and sales guidance to store leadership.
Provide guidance to retail leadership through monitoring consumer trends.
Coordinate closely with DGR leadership on signage and promotions.
Monitor consistency in pricing between stores and provide input and guidance to DGR leadership relative to sales v.
pricing of all merchandise.
Collaborate with DGR leadership to enhance in-store merchandising sets, space allocation, and fixtures.
Engage and manage community events such as parades, festivals, fashion shows, and other events as opportunities are presented.
Assist with other DGR special projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing/merchandising, operations management or similar field strongly preferred.
10+ years’ of experience in retail merchandising and/or operations may be substituted for degree.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a retail merchandising and customer service-oriented role.
Travel between retail locations on a regular basis Experience in non-profits and human services work environments a strong plus.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Lift up to 40 pounds in support of donation and production areas.
