The *Soft Goods Manager* plays a crucial role in overseeing the merchandise related to clothing and shoes.
This position involves collaborating with vendors, managing inventory, planning promotions, and ensuring excellent customer service within a retail environment.
*Responsibilities*
* *Merchandise Management:*
* Work closely with vendors to *select and order* clothing.
* *Monitor fashion trends* to ensure an adequate supply of in-demand merchandise.
* *Control inventory* by purchasing specific items in appropriate quantities.
* *Maintain accurate inventory records* to track stock levels.
* *Visual Merchandising:*
* Create *attractive in-store displays* for clothing and shoes.
* Ensure that merchandise is prominently featured within the store.
* *Customer Service:*
* Provide *excellent customer service* by training and supervising employees.
* Handle customer inquiries, special orders, returns, and exchanges related to soft goods.
* Collaborate with staff to maintain a positive shopping experience.
* *Operational Efficiency:*
* Oversee the *receiving and stocking* of merchandise.
* Manage the *annual catalog of clothing.

* Resolve issues related to incorrect shipments, damaged goods, and billing errors.
* *Financial Management:*
* Adhere to a budget for the soft goods department.
* Create a *sales plan* for the year and project financials.
* Review and process bills for payment, ensuring accuracy.
* *Physical Requirements:*
* Must be able to *lift and carry* up to fifty pounds regularly.
*Qualifications*
* *Education:* A *bachelor’s degree* is required.
* *Experience:* Two years of experience in *purchasing, supervision, and inventory control*.
* *Skills:*
* Effective communication skills.
* Proficiency with *ten-key calculators* and computers.
* Ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
