Seeking room to rent (San Antonio)

Hello, eventually I plan to leave my parents, I'll probably end up needing a room rental again since it's cheaper and easier to get then a apartment.
Needs to be in San Antonio and needs to be on a bus route since I don't have a vehicle.
Unfortunately I can't pass a background check so I don't know if that's a deal breaker.
I am employed full time as a retail cashier from 9 am to 6 pm.
No pets or kids.
I don't smoke or drink.
I am not planning to have overnight guests.
I am clean and responsible and will pay early every month actually.
I prefer honestly renting from a couple or female.
Male homeowners in the past have been a issue for me.
Probably looking to move by the summer like June.
