Looking for room or separate back house living (Any where close to downtown)

Hi there I’m a 41 year old female looking to rent out a room or back house apartment.
I don’t mind sharing living spaces as I’m mostly a stay in my room type of gal! Looking for something quiet and not pervy or creepy! I work full time as a waitress downtown.
And it’s mostly evenings so I won’t be back till late and sleep most of the day till work.
A little about myself, I’m divorced and moved back home to San Antonio only because I was promised help and a place to stay till I got on my feet.
Let’s just say the place was unliveable for a homeless person.
So I’ve been staying in a hotel for almost a year.
I pay around 1600 a month just for a room.
And I’ve never been put out due to non payment.
I’m looking for something I can call home for an extended period of time.
So I can save and get my own place eventually.
My credit is shot due to ex husband but I’m never without a job! I am a smoker (nicotine)but can smoke outside or in my car.
I am an adult and I do date from time to time so a place I can have company and stay overs from time to time would need to be possible… I’m old not a prude! I’m not looking to be a roommate with benefits or to be taken advantage of.
I do have a CHL and do carry a gun.
I’d like a place that would be ok with me changing the locks to my room so that I know I’m safe until I’m comfortable and I do keep security cameras in my room for protection.
So no creeps!!! I do have children that are grown and I’m super respectful to my space and surroundings.
Don’t mind dogs or cats.
And all in all just looking for a home that will allow me to be safe, work and save until I can get my own place.
