SWBC is seeking a talented individual to perform mortgage loan accounting activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, validation and variance analysis of gross revenue and profit/loss statements, mortgage servicing rights and the sales of mortgage loans.
This individual will perform researching activities related to hedging and derivatives and prepare senior management reports.
This individual will also be responsible for preparation of audit schedules for internal/external auditing as well as regulatory reporting.

Essential duties include the following:
Analyzes origination income journal entries to ensure gross revenue is correct and evaluates price deviations associated with gains/losses.
Analyzes and records secondary income journal entries, including those related to gain on sale of mortgage loans, hedging and derivative activities, and valuation of retained servicing.
Performs variance analysis and forecasting related to loan production and profitability and provides recommendations to improve income performance.
Prepares audit schedules and supporting documents in connection with annual external audits, periodic internal audits, and quarterly/annual regulatory reporting.
Prepares expense variance analysis on both corporate and branch income statements.
Stays abreast of department and accounting activities by participating in training and development for departmental cross training.
Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years accounting experience.
Financial Services or Mortgage lending accounting experience preferred.
Possess a strong working knowledge of accounting principles.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Possess a working knowledge of personal computers to include MS Word, and Excel.
Able to use basic office equipment to include computers, copiers, and/or fax machines.
Able to provide a high level of customer service.
Professional and ability to handle stressful situations and quick turn times.
CPA or related Accounting certification preferred.
Able to stoop, kneel, and stand to retrieve files.
Able to lift 10-20 lbs.
