Come be a part of what makes us so special! The Opportunity As a dedicated Manager, Business Applications, the candidate selected for this position will have a unique mix of Development, Configuration, and Real Estate Experience in a variety of platforms.
They will work with our Business Rules and Configuration team to drive continuous improvement in quality development and testing while leading our third-party resources.
Manages analytical, business, and technical support functions related to operational and/or strategic business functions, processes, and applications.
Leads teams and processes supporting business analytics and decision-making processes including technology and process improvements.
Applies advanced functional knowledge to lead and develop staff.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.
This position can be based in one our San Antonio, TX office location.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do: Manages one or more teams and functions supporting business processes and applications.
Establishes, tracks, and ensures achievement of team goals and objectives and promotes the development of effective team relationships and ensures the success of team efforts.
Coaches and counsels’ personnel to facilitate individual and team development.
Manages the identification, research, and analysis of business, process, and technology opportunities.
Provides direction to staff influencing and implementing business and process improvements, leveraging change management skills and processes.
Formulates business and process solutions utilizing an advanced understanding of changing business, industry, and technology environments.
Provides consulting for internal customers on matters related to overall business analytics and decision support solutions.
Collaborates and exchanges information with team members, customers, and information services to ensure dependencies, risks, and opportunities are identified.
Manages team projects and activities using project management methodology.
Directs independent research of complex business issues requiring advanced knowledge of business principles and theories.
Leads/participates in development and/or maintenance of complex business analytics and decision support solutions.
Leads the development, coordination, and facilitation of project business requirements and activities, as necessary.
Participates in projects and may have leadership responsibilities on select projects.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have: Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 or more years’ experience working in an analytical or technology support position.
2 or more years of progressive leadership/management experience.
Advanced understanding of analytical, business, process, and/or technology support activities.
What sets you apart: US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner [optional].
4+ years’ experience staffing and managing third party resources (offshore, nearshore, and onshore) in a technology environment.
Proven experience driving increased efficiency and automation resulting in measurable cost savings.
Extensive experience with SAFe Agile development and Test-Driven Development Extensive experience with Mortgage Cadence, integrated platforms, and other software applications.
Significant knowledge of the real estate lending lifecycle, mortgage regulations, systems, and processes.

The salary range for this position is: $109,130 - $196,430.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
