Loan Servicing Officer – SBA 504 Loans Summary A loan servicing officer is responsible for managing loan accounts post-disbursement.
They monitor borrower payments, communicate with borrowers, maintain loan documents, facilitate loan modifications if needed, manage risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and escalate issues when necessary.
Loan servicing officers play a critical role in maintaining the health and performance of loan portfolios by ensuring that borrowers adhere to their loan agreements and by proactively managing any issues that may arise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in managing the 504-loan portfolio, acting as a liaison with borrowers to gather necessary financials/documents for annual reviews and maintaining loan files for SBA compliance.
Monitor the performance of existing SBA 504 loans, including monthly reporting to the Director of 504 Servicing on non-current loans, ACH rejects, and proactive follow-up with borrowers.
Identify and escalate deteriorating credit quality loans to the Director of 504 Servicing as needed.
Document all borrower communications and servicing actions in the loan folder and system of record.
Prepare deferment requests, documenting them accordingly and liaising with the SBA Little Rock Servicing Center and/or SBA when necessary.
Ensure compliance with LiftFund CDC Internal Control Policy and Small Business Administration Standard Operating Procedures.
Verify borrower profiles and ensure loan files and borrower information are up to date during interactions.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree preferred.
Dedication to program objectives focused on providing credit and support services to micro-entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Experience in economic development or related fields.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
Ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft programs.
Reliable transportation, flexibility in schedule, and willingness to travel.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate loan servicing.

Position Type, Days and Hours This is a full-time, exempt position.
The days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm.

Physical Demands When working on-site, work is performed in a routine office environment.
This job requires working under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and address unexpected work challenges.
The job also requires the ability to operate office equipment (such as computers) as may be necessary to perform the position’s responsibilities.
