Duties:
- Originate mortgage loans by taking loan applications from potential borrowers
- Gather necessary documentation and information to complete the loan application process
- Analyze applicant's financial status, credit history, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
- Present loan options to borrowers and assist them in selecting the most suitable loan program
- Provide guidance and advice to borrowers regarding the loan process, including escrow and closing procedures
- Negotiate terms and conditions of loans with borrowers, ensuring compliance with FNMA guidelines
- Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and other team members to facilitate a smooth loan approval process
- Maintain knowledge of current mortgage rates, regulations, and industry trends
- Meet or exceed sales goals by actively seeking new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with referral sources
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mortgage loan origination or related financial services field preferred
- Strong understanding of loan origination processes and procedures
- Proficient in basic math calculations and 10-key typing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple loan applications simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of FNMA guidelines and regulations pertaining to mortgage lending
