BEXAR APPRAISAL DISTRICT is seeking applicants for the position of
RESIDENTIAL APPRAISER, entry level and experienced.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Appraiser responsibilities include field data collection, data analysis, valuation of properties, and representing the District at informal and formal protest hearings and arbitrations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1.
A four year college degree with relevant course work in business, accounting, finance, real estate or management preferred
OR a high school diploma and mass appraisal experience
2.
Ability to perform mathematical tasks associated with appraisal
3.
Effective communicator with strong presentation skills
4.
A Texas Driver’s License with a verified acceptable driving record and proof of liability insurance - position requires use of a reliable personal vehicle
Candidates must have proven verbal and written presentation skills and strong analytical skills in order to conduct credible, timely and convincing appeal hearings.
Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Candidates must also be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and have sufficient mobility to visit property sites that may have rough terrain.
Completion of educational requirements mandated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is required.
