This role is responsible for exercising extreme independent judgment and possessing the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation that may arise during the escrow process.
The Escrow Officer must have an established book of business or be able to establish a book of business within a reasonable amount of time to meet given performance standards and lead others in exemplifying Providence core values to all team members.
Duties and Detailed Responsibilities: Maintain regular business hours from 8:30 a.
m.
to 5:00 p.
m.
, Monday through Friday, with a willingness to extend availability as necessary to oversee each escrow transaction thoroughly.
Oversee and manage all aspects of the escrow process, delegating appropriate duties to the escrow assistant as needed.
Meticulously review and validate all closing documents to ensure absolute accuracy and compliance with escrow regulations.
Follow company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines.
Communicate with lenders, underwriters, and involved parties to the transaction, to verify the completeness and accuracy of closing documentation.
Work with plant in resolving issues that may arise during the transaction, including, legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments, and other liens.
Coordinate the closing of escrow between the principals in each transaction.
Return all calls, voicemails, and emails in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader.
Always adhere to company policies and guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid escrow license.
Possess a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant escrow experience.
Preference given to candidates with an established book of business.
A deep understanding of real estate transactions, title insurance, and escrow process.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders throughout the transaction life cycle.
Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools, such as SoftPro and MS Suite is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a keen focus on detail to ensure seamless transactions from start to finish.
