POSITION SUMMARY
Performs maintenance, repair, and testing of various valves including relief valves, control valves, tank vents, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Follow safety and quality procedures
Cleaning, blasting, and painting of various valve components
Operate equipment blaster, parts washer, torch, forklift, and other related equipment
Performs re-machining or lapping of critical parts
Perform field work as needed
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must be able to read measuring devices
Must be able to document and enter job data
Strong mechanical aptitude
Demonstrate problem-solving skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements for this position are typical for a mobile employee including constant movement within a wide range of office environments, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping and lifting 50+ pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment for this position is typical for a warehouse including occasional exposure to loud noise and outside temperatures of heat/cold.
The environment may occasionally include exposure to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and working on scaffolding or high places.
