Under direction of the Director of Rehab Services, the Admissions Coordinator manages, plans, and organizes the patient's admission process for the Acute Rehab Unity (ARU) at Peterson Regional Medical Center (PRMC) within the rules and regulations of CMS and other regulatory and accreditation bodies.
The position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining a comprehensive admissions program.
The Admissions Coordinator assists the PPS Coordinator with the timely encoding of patient data per Medicare Regulations.
The Admissions Coordinator represents PRMC and the ARU in marketing activities to promote hospital programs.
Required Education:
LVN/ADN/RN/PT/OT/ST Degree
Preferred Education:
BSN
Required Skills:
Strong clinical assessment skills, competent computer skills in clinical documentation systems and MS Office (Excel and Word), excellent interpersonal, time management and communication skills, flexibility to handle variability in workload and necessity for multi-tasking
Preferred Skills:
Possesses a working knowledge of the Inpatient Rehab Facilities' CMS Rules and Regulations
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Current Texas license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist, BLS
Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN)
Required Experience:
At least one year clinical experience
Preferred Experience:
Experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility
