Licensed Vocational Nurse Supervisor Podiatry Clinic

Look no further……your future is here! The Texas Diabetes Institute is looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) clinic leader that is an energetic self-motivated nurse that is ready to help support tenured Physicians and guide future Practitioners.
The LVN Supervisor position is located in the Texas Diabetes Institute (TDI), Podiatry Clinic, and is one of several multi-disciplinary clinics that provide specialty services to our Diabetic population in San Antonio.
The Podiatry Clinic current hours of operations are 8:00AM-5:00PM and is open Monday – Friday.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Provides indirect nursing care to patients identified within the geriatric Medicare managed group in accordance with UHS policies and standards.
Supports and promotes University Health System values to ensure patient/guest relations.
Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner.
Maintains, facilitates and promotes department policies and standards.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE At least one year experience in direct patient care or working with managed care plans is preferred.
Understanding of Medicare and geriatric population experience preferred.
Current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card required.
ACLS certification may be required based on site location.
Various certifications may be required based on location site.
LICENSURE Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas.
Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
