Summary
This Registered Nurse ICU provides direct clinical patient care.
The Registered Nurse / RN will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level.
The Registered Nurse / RN is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
The RN ICU is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Experience
Preferred: Two years as RN in acute care.
Previous clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry or ICU
Certifications
Required:
Possession of current Texas State License for RN.
BLS required for all units–Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Centeror the Military Training Network.
ACLS required for Adult Critical Care, Telemetry, Interim Critical Care units within 6 months of date of hire or transfer date of RN into unit
