The Supply Chain Lead will be responsible for the direct oversight of the Division's OCTG, accessories, 3rd party tubular storage yards, and related vendors.
This position, with the help of EOG HQ Supply Chain personnel; will oversee division OCTG logistics, inventory management, maintenance, and repairs of material needed by the San Antonio Division.
This includes, but is not limited to, the following areas of responsibility:
Work closely with operations, field personnel and the supply chain purchasing team to maintain appropriate inventory levels, identify obsolete equipment and ensure all operational and field needs are met on time
Oversee team members that coordinate procurement, logistics, inventory management, maintenance, and repair of items needed for the San Antonio division Drilling and Production groups
Develop a good working knowledge of vendors who provide tubulars, accessories, inspection, and repair services and actively participate in the procurement process related to these
Creating/monitoring Excel sheets for tracking certain day to day activities for Purchase orders, accessories, and inventory balances
Oversee all tubing and casing charges to complete well reconciliations for well AFE closures with accounting group
Working with third party vendors to ensure material is available for operational request
Supply Chain and materials accounting processes
Develop a good working knowledge of vendors who provide tubulars, accessories, inspection, and repair services and actively participate in the procurement process related to these
Work with engineering team members to ensure technical requirements are met
Take an active role in managing inventory stock levels, performing inventory counts, and reconciliations
Oversee all team members on call scheduling to ensure operational needs are met 24hrs/7days a week
This role will require an in-depth understanding of the Division's operational areas and accounting practices; and include the need for ongoing communications with all areas of operations to ensure that drilling and production tubular needs are met on a daily basis.
The Supply Chain Lead will need strong, humble leadership characteristics and the ability to provide oversight while still working collaboratively with their team members.
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED is required.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field preferred
5+ years of experience within the Oil and Gas industry is required
Prior experience with OCTG and logistics is beneficial but not required
Profound knowledge and experience with procurement and process flow management.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary
Ability to multi-task and reprioritize workload in a dynamic working environment
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook and MS Teams
Position requires some local and overnight travel
Strong interpersonal skills, interacts with others in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner
A team player who works effectively with others at all levels and in all disciplines in a team environment and is able to maintain a sense of camaraderie in working with others
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information
Be creative and innovating in optimizing processes and increasing efficiencies within the department
Be resourceful in accomplishing work tasks and obtaining needed information
Position will be filled a level commensurate with experience.
