Duties: Directs, supervises and coordinates activities of personnel in pharmaceutical services for the outpatient, inpatient and decentralized settings.
Leads evidence based management and clinical decision pharmacy responsibility for drug utilization while maximizing patient safety and benefit.
Works to improve quality, patient experience and financial performance across all points of care.
Responsible for oversight of all pharmaceutical contracting, procurement, receiving, security, technology, inventory control, diversion prevention and distribution of policies across University Health.
Requirements: Licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas is required.
Masters Degree in Business or Health Care Administration is preferred.
Seven to ten years of experience in acute care and ambulatory care pharmacy with an excellent knowledge of the 340B drug pricing program.
Must have at least five years of supervisory experience.
Supervisory experience gained at a Director level at a university affiliated teaching hospital is preferred.
