What you will do: The Domestic Tax Compliance Manager will be a key addition to the Finance Organization as eXp continues its rapid global expansion.
eXp is looking for a highly motivated and experienced tax professional.
The Domestic Tax Compliance Manager is part of the Tax Organization that provides global tax accounting, compliance, planning, transfer pricing, tax reporting, special projects, and tax audit defense for the Company.
This is a newly created role primarily focused on managing domestic US tax compliance, including income tax compliance for federal, state and US international reporting.
This position will work closely with Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Treasury teams to ensure proper data collection, reporting and retention.
Further this position will handle US income tax compliance and support ASC 740, Senior Tax Manager during quarterly tax provision preparation.
Successful candidate will possess keen analytical skills and experience with tax provision and compliance software (CorpTax experiences is required).
The Manager will also have strong communication and managerial skills with the ability to interface with multiple groups within tax as well as across functional groups outside the tax function.
The Manager must be a self-motivated team player with GAAP and tax technical experience, leadership and organizational skills, effective and efficient communication, good project management, a history of producing high-quality timely work product, and intellectual curiosity.
The Manager must strive for continuous improvement in process, deliverables, leadership and professional expertise.
How you will make an impact: Prepare and/or review annual income tax federal and state returns for C Corporations, Pass-Through entities and public charity.
Prepare and maintain all required documentation to support tax position, including accounting and compliance reporting as well as representation during audits.
Manage and analyze legal entity current and forecasted P&L and evaluate income tax accounting issues.
Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provisions including the preparation of all relevant SEC financial statement disclosures Review non-U.
S.
tax provision calculations and resolve income tax accounting issues.
Coordinate with internal and attest auditors for control testing.
Manage/assist with all issues related to income tax audits and other special projects.
Prepare return to provision analysis including impact to the effective tax rate, cash tax rate, tax account reconciliations, etc.
Act as a liaison and business partner with the different groups within the tax department to ensure that there is timely communication and collaboration on potential tax impacts.
Assist with researching tax accounting implications of planning or transactional activities (including acquisitions), international expansion, audits, transfer pricing, and compliance.
Assist with various tax consulting projects such as voluntary disclosure agreements, filing positions, and reorganization transactions.
Assist with special projects and issues related to the accounting for income taxes.
Prepare/review tax account reconciliations and component analysis for both book general ledger account balances and tax ledger balances.
Identify process improvements for various tax processes, implement changes for best practices.
Maintain automated tax technology solutions, experience with CorpTax is required, Alteryx is strongly desired.
Maintain required level of technical knowledge.

Experience with preparing/reviewing/efiling US consolidated federal, state and international income tax returns with CorpTax Strong applied knowledge base of accounting, global income tax, ASC 740, and GAAP rules, including tax accounting, stock-based compensation, and business combinations Proficient in Sarbanes Oxley 404 rules and their application to tax function Working knowledge of research databases Experience with enterprise software such as Oracle, CorpTax, Vertex, etc.
Experience developing and booking journal entries Experience with Microsoft and Corptax Office/Google Suite tools required Advanced Microsoft Excel/sheets skill set required Must have strong math aptitude and computer skills Competencies: Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
